This week, our weekly fitness challenge is to take three walks outside. Fall is in the air and it’s a great chance to see all the beautiful colors on the trees. Beyond the fun of exploring, walking has a lot of great benefits with very little impact on our joints.
Here’s a few great advantages of walking:
Maintain a healthy weight.
Prevent or manage various conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes:
Strengthen your bones and muscles.
Improve your mood. A connection with nature makes you feel better!
Improve your balance and coordination.
Walking helps us with all aspects of our life, from our physical health to our sense of well being. We can move, play, run, work, and think better when we are in shape and connected to our surroundings. We can live our best life! Go for it!
